Everton manager Roberto Martinez is not in favour of using video technology for fourth officials, not least for the managerial reactions.

The International Football Association Board (IFAB), which rule over the laws of the game, are due to meet on 1st March, with video technology on the agenda.

With goal-line technology now a fixture in the Premier League, the idea is now to include the fourth official in the decision-making process for events such as tackles and off-the-ball incidents.

Video technology is expected to allow the fourth official a view of the last incident that occurs, but Martinez feels it will only add to the chaos that is a modern-day technical area.

Martinez is no fan of retrospective action in any case, and today told a press conference: "Referees need as much help as they can get. But having a replay for the fourth official doesn't go with nature of the game.

"Secondly, I don't think the fourth official has the perfect environment to do that. If you can imagine, it can get a bit chaotic in the technical area.

"If you give the fourth official the opportunity to review the last action, maybe we'll need an extra camera just to see the reaction of the two technical areas!"
