Juventus and Lazio came calling for the 19-year-old in the winter window but now, according to FC Inter News, there is serious interest from England.

That comes from Liverpool and Manchester United, with the pair eyeing up a potential raid when the transfer window swings open again in the summer.

Inter are spooked, and sufficiently so to have started to prepare a new contract offer for Mbaye.

The Senegalese defender's current contract with Inter runs until 2016, however the new deal being drawn up would extend the end date far beyond that year.

Mbaye has made 20 appearances in Serie A for Livorno so far this season.
