Bayern Munich have been slapped with a partial stadium ban and a fine of €10,000 by European football's governing body UEFA.

The punishment relates to Bayern Munich's Champions League clash against Arsenal earlier this month, which saw the club's fans display an offensive homophobic banner in the stadium.

UEFA has investigated and Bayern Munich will now have part of their Allianz Arena stadium closed when they meet Manchester United in the Champions League quarter-final.

The German champions have also been fined €10,000.

Bayern Munich play the first leg of their quarter-final away from home and then host Manchester United in the second leg on 9th April.

Meanwhile, domestically the Bavarians can seal the Bundesliga title with victory away at Hertha Berlin tomorrow.
