Inter president Erick Thohir has confirmed the ball is in Bacary Sagna's court over whether or not to join the club next season.

Sagna sees his contract at Arsenal expire this coming summer and Inter have been pushing hard to persuade the French right-back to move to Italy when it expires.

Inter have put a proposal in front of Sagna, who could yet opt to extend his stay with Arsenal, and Thohir says it is now purely up to the defender to decide his future.

"He is a player that we like", Thohir admitted to Gazzetta dello Sport.

"Now it's up to him to decide", the president added.

Inter have already secured veteran Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic for next season, the Serbian heading to Italy when his deal at Old Trafford expires.

It remains to be seen if Sagna will join him, especially with the right-back having also attracted interest from Monaco, Paris Saint-Germain and Liverpool.
