According to French outlet Maxifoot, Liverpool boss Rodgers wants to add M'Vila to his squad in time for the 2014/15 campaign as he plans to lead the Reds into the Champions League.

However, there is much interest in the Frenchman, with even Liverpool's local neighbours Everton firm fans of the midfielder's talents.

M'Vila joined Rubin Kazan last year from Rennes, surprising many by agreeing to head to Russia.

He had been linked with a switch to England at that time, with QPR leading the chase.

Should M'Vila opt not to move to England, there has also been interest from his native France, where Paris Saint-Germain are a potential destination.
