Aaron Hunt has rejected a final contract offer from Werder Bremen and is poised to join Besiktas despite interest from Tottenham Hotspur and Stoke City, according to German magazine Kicker.
Werder Bremen were keen to keep Hunt at the club, the attacking midfielder having been on the books for the last 13 years.
But Hunt, who made his debut for the club in 2004 against Borussia Monchengladbach, has decided to head to pastures new.
England was an option for Hunt, with Tottenham and Stoke firm fans, but it is Turkey which is set to attract the 27-year-old.
Besiktas have prepared a lucrative contract for the midfielder, who can also operate as a winger, and he looks likely to be playing his football in Istanbul in 2014/15.
Hunt came through the youth ranks with Werder Bremen, turning out for the club's second string before linking up with the senior team.
He has won three caps at international level with Germany.
