Juventus manager Antonio Conte has identified Napoli’s Marek Hamsik as a transfer target if Paul Pogba leaves the club in the summer, according to Italian daily Il Mattino.

Pogba is one of the players of the season for Juventus this time around and has become one of the vital cogs of the Bianconeri. Since his move from Manchester United in 2012, the Frenchman has become one of the top young midfielders in Europe.

Pogba is expected to attract big bids from the likes of Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain. And although Juventus have vowed to keep hold of their prized asset, Conte might be forced to sell if a big offer is placed for the French international.

Hamsik is one of the mainstays of Rafael Benitez’s Napoli side and had attracted attention from some of Europe’s top clubs with his performances.

Any approach for the Slovakian midfielder from Juventus will be met with a negative response from Napoli owner Aurelio De Laurentiis.

Hamsik has made 35 appearances for the team from Naples this season and has scored nine goals from midfield.

Pogba meanwhile has made 42 appearances for the Old Lady and has scored 12 goals so far this season.
