Incoming Leeds United owner Massimo Cellino is edging towards sacking the coach of his other club, Cagliari.
Cagliari lost 3-1 at home to Roma today and are now just seven points above the drop zone in Serie A, leading to jitters at the club.

The club have won just one of their last six games, losing four and drawing the remainder, to clock up form which is the second worst in the league over that period.
And coach Diego Lopez may pay with his job as Cellino considers the Uruguayan's position.

Lopez, who won 32 caps for Uruguay between 1994 and 2005, was appointed Cagliari coach last summer.
He had been in charge of the club's youth team, appointed to that post in 2012.
The former defender made over 340 appearances for Cagliari as a player in a stint which ran from 1998 until 2010.
Cellino recently won an appeal against being barred from purchasing 75 per cent of English Championship side Leeds, a club enduring similarly poor results.
The Italian's new club lost 1-0 away at Wigan on Saturday to sit just 16th in the table. Cellino had tried to sack the manager of the Yorkshire giants, Brian McDermott, even before completing his takeover, though a truce now appears to have descended between the two.
Nevertheless, Cellino is unafraid of making changes should he feel it necessary, as Lopez may soon discover.
