West Ham United defender Pablo Armero is happy with his life in England and hopes to earn a permanent deal with the Upton Park club.

The Colombian footballer moved to Sam Allardyce’s side on a loan deal until the end of the season from Italian club Napoli in January this year, and has made three appearances for the Hammers so far.

The 27-year-old impressed in his first start for the Irons in their 2-1 defeat against Liverpool last weekend, and said that he liked playing in the English league and will hope to continue to be part of the Upton Park club.

"It is a new experience, and it is a very good one for me," he told West Ham’s site.

"I like the Premier League, because it is very fast, it is very exciting and I like how the crowd enjoy the games. I think it is thrilling playing here and I enjoy it.

"I would like to have a good end with West Ham so in the future have a new contract with the team."

The 11th-placed club will be looking to make it to the top half of the league table when they take on Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium next week and host Crystal Palace the following weekend.
