Wigan Athletic have learned lessons from former manager Roberto Martinez on how to beat Arsenal, present boss Uwe Rosler has claimed.

The defending champions take on Arsene Wenger's men in the FA Cup semi-final at the Wembley on Saturday, with the championship side looking to capitalise on the Gunners' recent loss of form.

The team from London have failed to win their last four Premier League encounters and are currently holding their Champions League qualification spot by their fingernails.

The 3-0 loss to Martinez's current side Everton will also keep the team under pressure and the 45-year-old wants to capitalise on it.

"I watched the game last Sunday and it was another very impressive lesson from Roberto, tactically how Everton approached the game", the German was quoted as saying by the BBC.

"Not a lot of people focused on how disciplined and how focused Everton operated in the first 20-25 minutes without the ball.

"There were good pictures for me to learn from and also take one or two things on board."

The Latics are currently placed fifth in the Championship and fighting for a playoff spot for promotion to the Premier League.
