Bayern Munich coach Pep Guardiola is confident that the club will do all they can to keep Toni Kroos out of Manchester United's clutches this coming summer.

Kroos has not yet extended a contract which expires in 2015, with talks now put on hold until after the World Cup, something which is sure to give encouragement to his many suitors, of which Manchester United appear the most serious.

It has been claimed that the English champions are preparing an offer for Kroos which would see the midfielder earn £260,000 per week at Old Trafford.

Speaking at a press conference, when asked about Kroos, Guardiola replied: "The management at Bayern will do all that they can to keep him here in Munich.

"But Toni is free man and he has to decide what to do.

"For sure, we would all like him to remain here."

Kroos did his stock with Manchester United no harm when turning out against the Red Devils for Bayern Munich in the Champions League recently, the Bavarians putting the Red Devils out of the competition.

The 24-year-old has featured 27 times in the Bundesliga so far this season, scoring two goals and providing four assists.

Kroos has clocked up a further ten appearances in the Champions League along with four matches in the German Cup.
