Roma boss Rudi Garcia has put contract extension talks with the club on hold until the end of the season.

The 50-year-old has a contract with the club which runs to the end of next season, but the Italian outfit are eager to tie down the tactician to a long term contract soon.

Having joined the Giallorossi last summer, Garcia has been instrumental in leading the team to Serie A success. His team are currently on a seven match winning run, fighting with Juventus for the league title.

The statistics are in stark contrast with last season, when they finished at a disappointing seventh, thus missing out on European football.

"I've said it already, I am very happy here", the Frenchman told Sky Italia.

"I have decided alongside Roma executives to speak to the club at the end of the season and not before."

As far as the season's football is concerned, Garcia is happy to be leading the charge of a record campaign for La Maggica.

"We are having a record campaign and so are Juve.

"We want the best and so do Juve. The only thing we can do is to continue to work hard and see what happens at the end", Garcia added.
