Liverpool winger Raheem Sterling has revealed that he has worked on his upper body strength and uses his power to ‘fight and hustle’ in training as he hates losing the ball to his opponents even on the training pitch.

Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard has praised Sterling’s hunger and determination in training and said: "I don't go near him in training because if I do, there is only one winner!"

But the 19-year-old told the club's site:"I just try to fight and hustle – I don't think it's a strength thing. I'm just hungry and don't want to lose the ball or get barged off it. It's more of a hunger thing.”

The Englishman admits that he has worked hard on his physique, the results of which are finally bearing fruit.
