With Marcelo Bielsa set to take charge of Marseille this coming summer, the former Athletic Bilbao boss has already begun thinking about his squad at the Stade Velodrome – and keeping Morgan Amalfitano is uppermost in his thoughts.
Amalfitano is currently on a season-long loan with English Premier League club West Brom, where he has clocked up 24 appearances in the country's top flight this term.
The 29-year-old has been hoping to remain in England, but according to L'Equipe, Bielsa wants him back at Marseille for 2014/15.
Bielsa last worked in Spain with Athletic Bilbao, leaving his post with the Basque outfit last year.

The 58-year-old led Athletic Bilbao to the final of both the Copa del Rey and Europa League in the 2011/12 campaign, though the side came up short in each.
Marseille meanwhile currently sit sixth in France's Ligue 1, having collected 51 points from 33 games.
