Liverpool’s Raheem Sterling has dedicated his goal against Norwich to manager Brendan Rodgers and thanks his manager for having faith in him this season.

Sterling scored a brace in Liverpool’s 3-2 win over Norwich City on Sunday at Carrow Road.




"He has had belief in me, he has put me in different positions and had the faith to try me there", the 19-year-old was quoted as saying by the club's official site.

Sterling believes that Rodgers’ faith in him has given him confidence to try different things and explore different aspects of his game.

"He has had great faith and I am just glad I got a goal for him and a goal for the team. I knew there was a lot more to come from me.

“I just needed to have confidence and right now my confidence is sky high.”

Liverpool are currently top of the Premier League on 80 points, followed by Chelsea on 75 points and Manchester City on 74 points. They need seven points from their final three games to be crowned English champions.

Sterling has made 30 league appearances for Liverpool this season, scoring nine goals and providing six assists.
