Liverpool’s on-loan forward Victor Moses has revealed that the first training session at Melwood made him realise the success the Reds’ could achieve this year.

Brendan Rodgers’ side are sitting at top of the Premier League table and have a five-point lead over second-placed Chelsea, and they look close to winning the English top flight for the first time in almost 24 years.

With Jose Mourinho’s side visiting Liverpool for a top-of-the-table encounter on Sunday, the Nigerian international, who joined the Anfield outfit on a season-long loan from Chelsea in September last year, feels that the side can win against his parent club and have the potential to lift the title.

“Just from seeing the way everyone trained, that first training session, and the games that I played in early on, I could see the quality that we have here”, he told the Liverpool’s official site.

“There is huge talent at this club, and I knew that this team could go far. We are in a position now where if we win the rest of our games, we will win the Premier League.

“That's not a bad position to be in, is it? It won't be easy, but we have enough players who can win games”, the 23-year-old added.

With just three more games to go in the league this season, Liverpool will have to gain maximum points in all their remaining fixtures to win the English league and they will be hoping to do just that when they face Crystal Palace and Newcastle United after the Blues over the coming weeks.
