Jose Mourinho has denied dropping Eden Hazard from Chelsea's starting line-up today for his criticism of the club's style of play in midweek.

Hazard had hit out at Chelsea following their Champions League semi-final exit to Atletico Madrid, explaining Mourinho's side are not set up to play football.

That provoked the Chelsea manager to criticise Hazard as not being willing to sacrifice himself for the team, neglecting defensive duties.

And now Hazard has been left out of the Chelsea team to play Norwich today.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Mourinho said when asked about dropping Hazard: "To make some justice and give [Andre] Schurrle and Mohamed Salah the chance to play again because against Liverpool they were fantastic in their commitment and their effort."

Hazard will now hope to be given the chance to make an impact from the bench against the Canaries at Stamford Bridge.
