Tottenham Hotspur have set their sights on Cagliari defender Davide Astori as a potential summer arrival.

Astori has impressed with the Sardinian club this term, even attracting David Moyes to make a personal check on his form, when the Scot was employed as Manchester United manager.

Now, according to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato, Tottenham are firm fans of Astori, a player who could well be sold by Cagliari this summer as they look to shake up their squad.

Indeed, following a disappointing campaign in Serie A, which cost coach Diego Lopez his job, the Rossoblu are considering wide-ranging changes and Astori may be sacrificed.
