Cagliari sporting director Nicola Salerno has admitted that a number of the club's players could make the move to English outfit Leeds United.

The Italian club's owner, Massimo Cellino, recently acquired 75 per cent of Leeds and is aiming to bolster the Yorkshire side's chances of winning promotion to the Premier League next season.

A number of players have been earmarked for a possible switch, including defender Danilo Avelar, midfielders Sebastian Eriksson and Andrea Tabanelli, and striker Victor Ibarbo.

And Salerno makes no secret of the fact that the Rossoblu could provide Leeds with a source of reinforcements over the summer, however he is at pains to stress that nothing has yet been decided with Cellino.

Asked by CalcioNews24 whether Cagliari players could move to Leeds, Salerno replied: "Yes, the ownership is the same as well, but you have to wait and see what the future plans of Cellino are regarding it.

"The conditions and the guidelines to be followed for the future still need to be decided, then we still have to wait for the decisions of the president", Salerno concluded.
