Patrick van Aanholt believes he has played his last game for Dutch side Vitesse, explaining talks have been held with Chelsea, although he is not willing to reveal the outcome just yet.

The Dutch left-back, who joined Chelsea's youth ranks from PSV Eindhoven in 2007, has been on loan at Vitesse since 2012, clocking up regular first team football in the Eredivisie.

He has progressed to such an extent that he even won his first senior cap for Holland last year and it has been speculated he will be given the vote to replace Ashley Cole at Chelsea.

One thing Van Aanholt can say though is that his adventure with Vitesse is probably over following yesterday's Europa League playoff place second leg defeat to FC Groningen.
