Kaka is keen to remain with AC Milan for a further year, with the Brazilian believing the Rossoneri can come back stronger next term.

Milan sacked Massimiliano Allegri earlier this season, replacing him with former player Clarence Seedorf. But the club will still likely miss out on European football in 2014/15.

Milan currently sit eighth in Serie A and went down to a 2-1 defeat away at Atalanta on Sunday.

They finish their season by hosting lowly Sassuolo at the San Siro this coming weekend.

But despite their poor campaign, Kaka is content to stay put.

"My desire is to stay for one more year", the Brazilian explained to Rai 3.

"It is for the club to decide what to do and what project should be implemented.

"This year has been tough for everyone at Milan and there have been a lot of problems and a coaching change.

"But I think this crisis can put us on the right path."
