Tottenham Hotspur will turn to Ajax coach Frank de Boer if they cannot tempt Southampton boss Mauricio Pochettino to White Hart Lane.

Spurs are looking for a new manager following their decision to part ways with Tim Sherwood earlier this week, despite the former midfielder boasting the highest win percentage, at 59 per cent, of any Tottenham manager in the Premier League era.

Pochettino, who has impressed Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy with his work at Southampton, is the club's overwhelming first choice.

However, according to Sky Italia, if Spurs cannot land Pochettino, they will switch their attention to De Boer.
