Adam Lallana has slapped in a transfer request at Southampton amid interest from both Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur this summer.

Liverpool have already submitted a bid for Lallana, seeing a £20m offer knocked back, while a £25m bid is under consideration at St. Mary's.

Tottenham have quickly become linked with the England international too after Mauricio Pochettino left Southampton to take up the reins at White Hart Lane.

According to the BBC, Lallana has now told Southampton that he wants to be sold when he returns from England duty at the World Cup.

Southampton have just sold Rickie Lambert to Liverpool and issued a statement insisting they will only sell other players when they deem fit and once they have appointed a new manager.

However, the Saints did confirm that they had received multiple bids for other players.

Also in line to leave Southampton is left-back Luke Shaw, who is wanted by Manchester United, and centre-back Dejan Lovren, another to have been linked with both Liverpool and Tottenham.
