Tottenham Hotspur are closing on the signing of Croatian starlet Andrija Balic, with a deal which could cost the English side €2.4m on the table.

According to Croatian outlet Sportske Novosti, Spurs have all but completed the capture of the 16-year-old midfielder, who currently turns out for Hajduk Split.




Spurs have been in talks with Hajduk Split for some time over signing Balic and have placed a deal containing a number of extra payments on the table.

The Croatian side will receive an initial fee of €1m for the midfielder, followed by two further installments of cash, totalling €900,000.

And when Balic breaks into the Tottenham first team, Hajduk Split will be due a further payment of €500,000, taking the total up to €2.4m.

The young midfielder's contract at Hajduk Split had been due to run until the summer of 2017.
