Barcelona midfielder Xavi is giving serious consideration to a lucrative offer from Qatari side Al Saad.

The 34-year-old has been a fixture at the Camp Nou throughout his footballing career, never having played for any other club.

However, the sense of the end of an era is gripping the Catalan giants, with Carles Puyol having hung up his boots, Victor Valdes departed after the end of his contract and Cesc Fabregas having been sold to Chelsea.

And according to French broadcaster beINSports, Qatar is a serious option for Xavi.

Al Saad boast a Spain legend already, with former Real Madrid striker Raul turning out for the club.
