West Ham and Cardiff City are both interested in snapping up Bosnia defender Muhamed Besic, having been impressed with his performances at the World Cup.

The 21-year-old played in all three of his country's group stage games in Brazil, featuring against Iran, Argentina and Nigeria.

His displays have set La Liga side Celta Vigo on his tail, but the Spanish outfit now face serious opposition from West Ham and Cardiff, according to La Voz de Galicia.

Besic, who can operate as a defender or midfielder, currently plays his club football in Hungary with Ferencvaros.

The Bosnia international was born in Berlin, Germany, and started his career in the youth ranks at Tennis Berlin.

He was soon scooped up by Bundesliga giants Hamburg, but failed to cement a regular spot in the club's first team and headed for Hungary in 2012.

Besic turned down the chance to represent Germany at youth level, with his heart set on playing for Bosnia.
