Arsenal are once again interested in FC Porto striker Jackson Martinez, as boss Arsene Wenger looks to add to his attacking options.

The Gunners had been on the trail of the Colombian, with the player's agent admitting Wenger's men were in the mix for his client. But of late they had looked elsewhere, with Mario Balotelli under consideration, along with Mario Mandzukic.

However, Arsenal are now back at the door for Martinez, according to Spanish daily Marca.

The striker himself has been clear that he does not wish to be drawn into thinking about his future until after the World Cup, with no guarantee even then that he will be on the move from Porto.

Arsenal are far from alone in their admiration of the prolific Martinez though and look set to face opposition for the striker's signature this summer.

Backed by Singaporean billionaire Peter Lim, Valencia want to take the Colombian to the Mestalla, while Atletico Madrid and Roma are also watching developments closely.

Last season Martinez hit 20 goals in the Portuguese Primeira Liga, though it was not enough to stop Benfica winning the title.
