Chelsea have bid farewell to a raft of players whose contracts officially ended yesterday.

The Blues have parted ways with left-back Ashley Cole, who joined the club from rivals Arsenal in 2006, helping Chelsea to one Premier League title, four FA Cups, one League Cup, one Champions League, one Europa League and one Community Shield.

However, the 33-year-old is now heading off in search of a new challenge, having been strongly linked with moving to a club outside England.

Also departing Chelsea is striker Samuel Eto'o, who joined the club last summer from former Russian Premier League side Anzhi Makhachkala.

Goalkeeper Henrique Hilario is another ending his time at Stamford Bridge, having joined Chelsea as a backup goalkeeper in 2006.
