Leeds United face opposition for Catania central defender Giuseppe Bellusci after two Italian clubs joined the hunt.

Catania were relegated from Serie A last term, but Bellusci impressed and will not be short of offers this summer.

Indeed, according to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato, Bellusci now has Cagliari and Genoa on his tail – two clubs who would offer continued Serie A football for 2014/15.

Leeds are keen on Bellusci too, with the Yorkshire club's owner Massimo Cellino considering making a move to tempt him to Elland Road.

It remains to be seen if Leeds can persuade Bellusci to drop down to England's second tier to aid their bid for promotion to the Premier League.
