Manchester United have indicated they are prepared to pay around €40m to Fiorentina to sign winger Juan Cuadrado.

La Viola signed Cuadrado on a permanent deal from Udinese earlier this summer, but his future has been a source of constant speculation since then.

Barcelona and Bayern Munich are already in the race for his signature and are prepared to pay up to the €34m mark for the Colombian.

However, Manchester United have now entered the race for the 26-year-old and have already indicated they are ready to pay €40m to the Italian club, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

Louis van Gaal is looking to add a winger to the Red Devils’ squad before he takes charge later this month and the Colombian fits the bill.

Cuadrado has been in scintillating form in this summer’s World Cup for Colombia, something Van Gaal has seen up close, and has already scored a goal and has four assists to his name.

Cuadrado’s form at the World Cup has strengthened Fiorentina’s position and they might as well demand somewhere around €50m from his suitors.

Manchester United have played their cards in the Cuadrado saga and now it is up to Fiorentina whether they want to accept an offer or hold out for more.
