Celtic have completed the signing of goalkeeper Craig Gordon.

The 31-year-old shot-stopper, who has not played in a competitive game for two years due to a knee injury, has penned a two-year contract with the Scottish champions.

Gordon's deal also contains an option for a further year to be added to the contract.

The goalkeeper, who cost Sunderland a fee of £9m to sign from Hearts in 2007, is now due to head for Celtic's Austrian training camp to link up with his new team-mates.

Gordon endured an unlucky spell at Sunderland in England, breaking his arm on two occasions and picking up a knee injury, which he still had when the Black Cats released him in 2012.

The goalkeeper will now bid to get his career back on track with Ronny Deila's men.

At international level Gordon won 40 caps for Scotland between 2004 and 2010.
