Belgium defender Jan Vertonghen has declared that his side are not scared of anything, ahead of their World Cup quarter-final clash against Argentina at the Estadio Nacional de Brasilia tomorrow.

The Red Devils have thus far won all of their matches at the World Cup and are now up against talisman Lionel Messi, who has scored four goals in as many matches.

But Vertonghen, who insisted Belgium will play as a team to thwart the Barcelona star, explained that his side are a tough team to play against.

"We are a team that is difficult for an opponent to play against. We are certainly not scared", he was quoted as saying by the BBC.

"We have to stand together.

"If Messi gets past one of us, there must be a second and third player to stop him."
