Italian Serie A side Genoa have made a decisive move in the battle for young Seattle Sounders defender DeAndre Yedlin.

The 20-year-old, who starred with the USA team at the World Cup, is a wanted man, with Liverpool and Manchester United also on his tail.

Now Genoa have made a firm move for Yedlin, slapping in a bid of €2m to sign him, according to Il Secolo XIX.

The Rossoblu are now waiting for a response as they bid to take Yedlin to Serie A.

Liverpool are firm fans of the American, but their only offer so far has been for Yedlin to join their summer training camp, in order that they can take a closer look at his talents before making an official offer.
