Roma are moving quickly to complete the capture of United States international defender DeAndre Yedlin.

The talent, who currently turns out in the MLS with Seattle Sounders at club level, was the subject of an offer from Roma at the weekend, of €2m.

Liverpool have been interested in Yedlin and offered the 20-year-old the chance to join their pre-season training for assessment, while Manchester United have also been keeping tabs on the young American.

But according to Italian daily Gazzetta dello Sport, Roma are now very close to securing the right-back.

The Giallorossi secured Ashley Cole from Chelsea yesterday, along with Salih Ucan.
