Marco Silvestri has backed Leeds' pursuit of Sassuolo defender Jonathan Rossini, feeling he would prove to be a good signing.

Leeds completed the capture of Silvestri earlier today, snapping up the goalkeeper from Chievo Verona and handing him a four-year contract at Elland Road.

The Yorkshire giants have already secured Italian midfielder Tommaso Bianchi, but the Italian shopping spree looks set to go on.

For Silvestri, there are nothing but positive signs.

"I felt immediately at ease, the team is great. They are all good guys. I can speak Italian with Bianchi, he's a bit of company", Silvestri told Tutto Mercato.

"I know there is the idea to build a competitive team. They probably have ideas to strengthen the team and make it competitive.

"I am already prepared and ready for this new adventure with Leeds."

And Silvestri, who spent time on loan at Cagliari last season, feels Rossini, a Switzerland international, would be a good capture.

"He would be a good reinforcement", the goalkeeper said.
