Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa is looking for the Newcastle United exit door after another Ligue 1 team joined the hunt for his services.

The centre-back, who joined the Magpies in January 2013, has been made available for the right price after slipping out of favour at St. James' Park.

A return to French football appears the most likely for Yanga-Mbiwa, with a number of clubs from the country in the mix for the former Montpellier man.

Bordeaux, Lens, Marseille and Lille have all cast their eyes in the defender's direction over the last month.

According to France Football, Saint-Etienne have also joined the race, along with Yanga-Mbiwa now having set his heart on leaving Newcastle.

Indeed, the defender believes he must move on from Newcastle in order to relaunch his career.

The 25-year-old has won three caps for France since 2012, but was unable to book a spot in Didier Deschamps' France squad for the World Cup this summer.
