Manchester United have confirmed the agreement of a big-money deal with kit supplier Adidas, which will net the club a massive £750m.

The club's current kit suppliers, Nike, whose deal expires next year, recently withdrew from talks, arguing the figures being quoted represented poor value for their shareholders.

Adidas however have pushed ahead and secured a ten-year deal with Manchester United at a sun far eclipsing the £303m Nike paid for their own ten-year agreement.

Manchester United announced: "Manchester United plc (NYSE:MANU) has reached a ten-year agreement with adidas for a global technical sponsorship and dual branded licensing deal for a minimum guarantee of GBP 750 million, subject to certain adjustments, beginning with the 2015/2016 campaign.

"For the 2014/2015 season, Nike will continue in its role of technical sponsor and trademark licensee."

The deal is a big financial boost to the club as they seek to climb back to their former heights in the Premier League.

Manchester United won the title in 2013, but could only finish seventh last season and have no European football at all for 2014/15.
