Manchester City striker Alvaro Negredo has revealed that he does not want to leave the club and is "very settled" at the Etihad Stadium.

The 28-year-old moved to England last year from Spanish outfit Sevilla and turned out to be an integral part of the Citizens' attack during the season.

Negredo managed a total of 32 league appearances, in which he scored a total of nine goals and also provided his team-mates with three equally important assists.

However, there was a dip in his performances during the business end of the season, as he himself admits, and that led to speculation about his imminent departure during the summer.

The man concerned though is reluctant to pay attention to any such rumours and adds that he is extremely happy to be part of Manuel Pellegrini's side.

"I don't want to leave City. I'm very happy and very settled here", the Spaniard told City TV.

"I had a difficult end to the season and that's why there has been a lot of talking.

"But I've been very happy here from the first day I arrived."
