Former Italy coach Cesare Prandelli believes that while Mario Balotelli is "a good kid" he lives in "a dimension far from reality".

Prandelli coached Balotelli at the recent World Cup in Brazil, but stood down from his post after the Azzurri were eliminated at the group stage.

The ex-Fiorentina coach has quickly bounced back into management, taking over at Turkish giants Galatasaray.

He has been quick to voice his opinion on Balotelli however, with the striker having received much criticism in Italy, along with having been linked with a move to Arsenal.

"Mario is essentially a good kid. He's not a bad guy", Prandelli told Corriere della Sera.

"But Mario lives in a dimension that is far from reality. That means nothing.

"At the age of 24, he has the opportunity to build on his great experience", Prandelli concluded.

Balotelli could be on the move this summer, given signs AC Milan are prepared to cash in on the controversial striker, amid links with Arsenal.

The Italy international joined Milan from Manchester City in January 2013.
