Brazil have handed the national team reins to former coach Dunga, who takes over from Luiz Felipe Scolari.

Dunga steered Brazil to the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, but was shown the door following the Selecao failing to advance beyond the quarter-final stage.

The former midfielder has now been given a second bite of the Brazil cherry and takes charge of a country still reeling from World Cup disappointment.

Scolari led the side to the semi-finals of the World Cup on home soil, but saw his team thrashed 7-1 by eventual winners Germany at that stage.

Dunga had taken charge of Brazil in 2006 and remained in his post for four years.
