Chelsea starlet Jeremie Boga has expressed his delight at scoring a late equaliser for the club against WAC RZ Pellets yesterday.

Chelsea were losing their pre-season friendly to the Austrian outfit until Boga scored a late equaliser six minutes from time to save Jose Mourinho’s blushes.

“I was very happy, it was a tough game for us but to score the equaliser was very important”, Boga told the club’s official site.

The 17-year-old feels that the team showed great character in fighting until the final whistle to earn a draw.

But although he is delighted at getting a game for the first team, Boga feels he needs to keep working hard and improve on his skills before he can think of becoming a regular in the Chelsea first team squad.

“We came back into the game and showed a great attitude. I’m very proud, I’ve been working really hard to try and get an opportunity to play with first team.

“I think I’ve been doing well but I need to keep going and improve with every game.”

The Frenchman will hope to feature in Chelsea’s next pre-season friendly on Sunday against NK Olimpija Ljubljana.
