Liverpool have completed the signing of Belgian striker Divock Origi from Lille on a six-year contract.

Origi had travelled to Liverpool's training base in the United States to undergo his medical with the Premier League side and, having sailed through it, has put pen to paper.

According to French sports daily L'Equipe, Origi's contract runs for six years, with the Belgium international now set to be loaned back to Lille for next term.

Liverpool are paying a fee of around €13m for the promising striker.

Lille had been keen on insisting on having Origi at the club for the 2014/15 campaign as a condition of any agreement and Liverpool have consented.

Origi is then due to arrive at Anfield in 2015 and his progress in France over the coming campaign will be closely monitored on Merseyside.
