Chelsea have turned back the clock to hand Didier Drogba the number 15 shirt at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues recently completed the signing of their former marksman, picking him up on a one-year contract following his departure from Turkish giants Galatasaray.

And they have now allocated Drogba a squad number, handing him the number 15 shirt he was originally given when he joined Chelsea from Marseille in 2004.

As a result of the change, Egyptian winger Mohamed Salah will switch to wearing number 17.

Number 17 had been made available given Eden Hazard switching to take the number 10 shirt.
