Another Qatar-based club, El Jaish, have joined the queue to sign the Barcelona midfielder Xavi this summer.

The Spaniard has a number of offers from Qatari clubs and MLS side New York City FC are also in the race to sign him.

Al Arabi’s manager Dan Petrescu claimed last month that the midfielder has agreed a pre-contract to join the club.

Another Qatari club, Al Saad, also offered big money to the midfielder to join them earlier this year and Michael Laudrup’s Lekhwiya are hoping to entice him this summer.

According to Catalunya-based daily Sport, El Jaish are the latest Qatari club to join the race to sign the Barcelona midfielder.
