Leeds United have all but completed the capture of AC Milan starlet Zan Benedicic, with just the player's signature on a contract remaining.

The Yorkshire giants have been shopping extensively in the Italian market this summer, taking advantage of owner Massimo Cellino's contacts, along with those of sporting director Nicola Salerno.

And Slovenian attacking midfielder Benedicic is the latest player being roped into service at Elland Road.

According to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato, Benedicic's move is done and dusted, with the player having agreed to a one-year loan deal, with Leeds also holding an option to make the switch permanent should he impress during his stay.

The 18-year-old was taken on Milan's pre-season tour of the United States this summer; he is highly rated by coach Filippo Inzaghi, who bossed him at youth level.

However, Leeds have persuaded Milan to allow the starlet to head to England and Benedicic is now poised to jet to Leeds to ink a deal to join Cellino's men.

Benedicic, whose contract with Milan runs until 2016, turned out four times in the UEFA Youth League, which shadows the Champions League for young talents, last term for the Rossoneri.
