Juventus are ready to open talks with Paris Saint-German for the transfer of midfielder Adrien Rabiot.

Rabiot has only one year left on his contract in the French capital and has so far refused to sign an extension with PSG.

The Frenchman wants regular first team football and Laurent Blanc stated earlier this summer that he cannot provide any guarantees.

Rabiot’s mother, Veronique Rabiot, who also acts as his agent, said last month that his son cannot afford another season warming the bench in Paris.

“Adrien cannot afford to spend another season on the bench”, Veronique said, insisting sporting concerns come before financial issues.

Juventus have been tracking the midfielder throughout this summer and are ready to make their move to secure his signature.

PSG’s COO, Jean-Claude Blanc, will soon meet the officials from Juventus and open talks over the transfer of the French midfielder, according to Le Parisien.

Arsenal are keen to bring the 19-year-old to London this summer, but need to move quickly as the Bianconeri are taking proactive steps to secure Rabiot’s signature.

The Frenchman has so far made 43 appearances for PSG, scoring three goals and providing one assist. He has also featured three times for France’s Under-21 side.
