AC Milan will send representatives to this weekend's Emirates Cup to watch Arsenal starlet Joel Campbell in action and open talks with the Gunners over the player.

Rossoneri boss Filippo Inzaghi is a firm admirer of Campbell and has asked the club to do all they can to bring the Costa Rica international to the San Siro.



Any successful capture may be dependent upon Arsenal bringing in another attack minded player and the Gunners have been linked with Shakhtar Donetsk's Douglas Costa and FC Porto's Juan Fernando Quintero.

Milan are taking the bull by the horns however and according to Sky Italia are sending representatives to London for this weekend.

 


They will take in the pre-season friendly Emirates Cup tournament, hosted by Arsenal, and seek to hold talks with the English club over Campbell.

It remains to be seen whether Arsenal will be open to allowing Campbell, who impressed at the World Cup, to leave.

The forward spent last season on loan at Olympiacos in Greece.
