West Ham have ruled themselves out of making a move for Brazil legend Ronaldinho, doubting that he can cut it in the Premier League.

Ronaldinho is a free agent having parted company with Brazilian outfit Atletico Mineiro and is on the lookout for a new challenge.

The 34-year-old has been linked with Boca Juniors, QPR and Stoke City, while West Ham were mooted as being interested in taking him to Upton Park.

But Jack Sullivan, the son of the club's co-chairman David Sullivan, has ruled the Hammers out of the race.

He wrote on his Twitter account: "Say we'll not be signing Ronaldinho, we think to come to the PL for the 1st time at 34 is a big ask."
