AC Milan have contacted Ligue 1 side Marseille to enquire about their French international goalkeeper Steve Mandanda.

The shot-stopper, who was ruled out of the French squad for the World Cup due to an injury, has two years left on his contract with Marseille.

He has made 357 appearances for the French outfit and has won three French Cups and a league title with the Stade Velodrome outfit.

However, the 29-year-old is believed to be looking for a new challenge and AC Milan are ready to pounce on him.

The Rossoneri have already established contact with Marseille and are looking to agree a deal for Mandanda, according to Le Parisien.
