Juventus are keen on snapping up Xherdan Shaqiri from Bayern Munich, but will only be able to launch a swoop for the Switzerland international if they sell Arturo Vidal to Manchester United.

The Bianconeri have been battling to keep hold of Vidal in the face of fierce Manchester United interest, but at the same time are aware that selling the Chilean for big money would open up possibilities of their own in the transfer market.

Shaqiri is uppermost in Juventus' thoughts, but the winger's capture will require a substantial bid placing in front of Bayern Munich, who are only willing to deal for straight, hard cash.

And according to Italian outlet Calcio Mercato, Juventus are well aware that they need to sell Vidal to have any hope of affording Shaqiri.

The Italian champions are also looking at Paris Saint-Germain forward Ezequiel Lavezzi, but would also need to put a substantial fee on the line, meaning Vidal's sale would be required to snap up the Argentine too.

However, Juventus are considering cheaper options in the event that Vidal remains in Turin, with free agent Samuel Eto'o in their thoughts.

And new signing Patrice Evra has already recommended that Juventus launch a swoop for his former Manchester United team-mate Nani.
